Hand made, 20k gold and sterling silver ring. The "Rolling Ring" is a combination of two rings, one on top of the other. The outer ring (gold) is rolling freely as a bearing on top of the inner one (silver). The Jerusalem skyline (outline) is carved into the outer gold ring. The silver is oxidized to a bluish color, to create the effect of twilight behind the towers and roofs of Jerusalem. Upon request, an engraving can be included on the inside of the outer ring (which means you will not see it) however this is a beautifully sentimental way to express the name of a loved one or a meaningful saying, in fact any secret you may wish to include on your ring. Both rings are hammered and the inner ring has extended edges so that the outer ring will not slip to the sides and yet still roll nicely. The ring can also be used as a wedding band. The ring is called "Jerusalem of gold" as it is based upon a story about Rabbi Akivah, the first to coin this phrase. The Rabbi was quoted promising his wife, as he weaved straws through her hair, "I will get you Jerusalem of gold". This ring is unisex and is suitable as an everyday ring.
